Rita and family. I’m so sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. I know you’ll miss him terribly. May you feel the love and support of family and friends during these days. I have a good memory of his pitching at the church baseball games and all the fun we would have watching the game and then going to AW in Bob and Roger’s car for root beer and a Teen burger delivered to the car by someone on roller skates.

We both remember a smart/handsome young man with a spring in his step and a twinkle in his eyes, who loved his sports. That’s the memory that we will keep. I’ll never forget the many Tjart-Goertz dinners and play times at the homestead in Mississauga. From watching Jays games in the living room to crokinole in the basement with my great-grandfather, we had much fun, with Uncle Bob at the centre of it all. Rest In Peace, great uncle. You can know that your positive outlook and influence left an impact even on your well-extended family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this difficult time.

My heart was very heavy when I learned of Bob's passing. What a strong, courageous, and brave man. I really came to know Bob at our church, Northend in St. Catherines. I remember, after the service, we would look for Bob and Rita with whom we would exchange huge hugs and perhaps go out for lunch. Bob always had a twinkle in his eye and once after the service, we sort of decided to dance. So kind, so caring, so positive, so alive, God's man. Praying that you will be wrapped in God's arms. Gail.
