Dear Becky, Janice and Families,
You are in my thoughts during these difficult days. Your mom was a very special person. So warm, gentile, kind and pleasant. I first got to know her in the mid 60's while teaching in the Niagara area. I have fond memories of our 1960's road trip to the U.S. west coast. In later years we crossed paths again when I moved back to Niagara. In 2015 she visited me in Winnipeg, which sadly was the last time I got to see her.
May the many fond memories you have of your dear mother bring you comfort and peace.
My condolences

My father H,M.Willms was choir conductor in the Red Church for many years. He asked your mother at the young age of 14 years to play for the church choir. My father appreciated your mother’s dedication, skill and positive attitude as she accompanied the choir. Nothing was too difficult for her to learn to play the music. I believe this was the start of your mother’s musical career. The Lord comfort you as you mourn your mother’s passing.. She is safe in the arms of Jesus.

I met Martha when you still lived in Jordan. I started a job in Jordan and spent many a lunch hour visiting with her,
sometimes out in the gazebo enjoying the views. She was always a welcoming friend.
We'd discuss our families, our faith and our gardens.
One time she wanted to redo part of her garden and there were
a lot of rocks she had no need for. My husband Maurice and I went over and dug out enough rocks to fill our trunk, which
now lay in our garden and pond.
I'll be thinking of you Martha as I dig around those rocks in my garden.
I'm sorry I was only able to visit with her a few times while she was at Tabor Manor, but she was always her peaceful self.
Rest well my friend.
love,
Frances Prindiville

We were saddened to hear of Martha's death. I (Hugo) grew up with Martha attending the same church, going to Virgil Public School, and attending Eden High School. We both attended Canadian Mennonite Bible College in Winnipeg, where Doreen met her and learned to appreciate her. I have many good memories of the youth activities we were involved in such as camping at Silver Lake and Lowbanks. Martha was dependable, pleasant, and freely used her gifts of music, laughter etc., She was very committed to the church and to God. We have not seen her very much in the last decades since we live in Calgary. We do remember the lovely time we had when she with her daughter visited us in Calgary about 8 years ago.
Our prayers are with the family. Hugo and Doreen Neufeld

Dear Janice and Becky and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a cheerful and inspiring person to be around. Some of my fondest memories go way back to when she led children's choir. I always loved her laugh, her kind directions and best of all the chocolate letter that she would give us at Christmas. I enjoyed spending time at your house growing up and her presence was always a comfort. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Becky and Janice,
We’re so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. She was such a lovely lady. I got to know your mom at a young age when the Dyck/Dick families got together. I admired your moms piano playing and always wanted lessons. That didn’t happen but she did play at my wedding. I’m one of the 99 that were fortunate to have her play at a memorable service. My mom Christina, had a special bond with her and they shared many life stories together. She was so happy when you girls were born, it was a happy time.
Mom and I were able to visit your mom at Pleasant Manor and we had a lovely talk.
She will be missed. Our condolences.
Sincerely
Anne Litke and Christina Dick

Dear Janice and Becky,
We have so many fond memories of your Mom. Remember when you were in kindergarten many years ago Janice, and your Mom came into Jordan School as a parent volunteer. As a teacher herself but not teaching then, she was a fantastic help in our classroom.
We remember the visits to your lovely home in Jordan when Sara came to play with you. Your Mom was a fantastic cook and baker and meals were always delicious and fun.
We loved to hear her excellence on the piano and organ when she was attending SCUMC.
In her later years as a widow, we enjoyed many monthly breakfasts out with a small group of other ladies, sharing our stories and encouraging and comforting one another.
We offer our condolences to you and your families and wish God's comfort to support you at this sad time.
Elaine and Rudy

Martha is a dear soul and I will miss her. Although she sang alto and I sang soprano, we shared many thoughts at rehearsal breaks and through our emails. I'll miss our words of mutual encouragement and her gentle smiles across the room during Chorus Niagara practice. My condolences to you all in her passing. You're singin' with the angels now, Martha.

My sympathies to you all. Martha was such a lovely person, who I had the great pleasure of singing beside for many years at Chorus Niagara. She was always welcoming, kind, and wanted to know about my children when they were young and get regular updates about what they were up to. I always found her so very positive and sweet in all of our conversations. She was a fabulous singer too and so dedicated to Chorus Niagara - she was amazing and I will miss her. Our deepest condolences to Martha’s family. She was an amazing organist & was willing to share her organ skills with other future church organists. Martha played Handel’s classic Largo at our wedding in 1969. She was an example of a perfect church organist as far as I was concerned! Thank you Martha for sharing your talents! You have left us too soon! May God continue to bless her children & grandchildren! Lovingly, Kathy & John Rempel
