Obituary of Marinus Uitbeyerse

Marinus Uitbeyerse - September 26, 1932 - January 19, 2021

Uitbeyerse, Marinus (Dutchie) on January 19^th at the age of 88, surrounded by his family, went to be with his Lord and Savior. Marinus leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Amy (Ymkje) nee Draaistra, his children John (Joanna), Mary (2016), Henry (Minnie), Wilma Rathe (Ben) and Irene Stuiver (Dan Kress). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Shawn Jeffery (Candice), Jonathon Mallory, Brian Stuiver (Laura), Dayna Fowler (Jason), Danielle (Paul), Kolton (Shazia), Patrick Stuiver (Alexandria) and Emily Mewett, Jasmine Kirk. He was blessed with 10 great grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Sienna, Hayle, Emma, Anna, Alissa, Ryleigh, Audrey, Liliana and a baby due in June.  He always enjoyed it when his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Adrian (Wicky) and Casey (Sylvia). Marinus was a faithful member of Mountainview Christian Reform Church in Grimsby. 

His love and faith in God gave him comfort and peace throughout his journey on earth.

Throughout his retirement he volunteered his time to many organizations in the community. Up until last year, even having to pull is oxygen tank, he still loved going into New Again Construction to put in an hour or so of his time. For over 50 years Marinus and Amy loved to spend their summers at Pleasant Bay Family Camp in Consecon Ontario, where they had so many friends that he considered family as well. He loved to fly his kites in the open fields so high that you could barely even see them.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Due to Covid, a small family Service will held at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes on January 25^th and will be live streamed.
