Obituary of Isabel Irene Lister

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Isabel Irene Lister (Hansen) in her 78th year. Isabel leaves her daughter Ingrid (Paul) and son Erik (Jayne). Proud grandmother of Bailey, Mackenzie, Joshua,  Kaitlyn, Nikolas, William and Hayden. Her beloved sister in-law Lynda as well as niece and nephews Kerry, Grant, Brett and Mark. Isabel was a teacher and fruit farmer. Her early teaching career was in Richmond Hill where she taught phys ed and coached basketball. She then decided to move back to Beamsville to have a family and run the farm she grew up at. She returned to teaching loving her time at Beamsville District Secondary School where she flourished in the horticultural program. Isabel enjoyed her close friendships with Bea and Carolyn. She also enjoyed Disney vacations and summer time at the cottage with her family.

Thanks to the exceptional support and nursing staff at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland, Meadow, for their amazing care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life at a later date due to restrictions.
