The relatives of Tante Wim in Alberta would like to express their condolences to Ron and Betty and their family, and Rita and her family on the passing of Willie Van Kommer. Auntie Wim is survived by her sister-in-law Evertje (Aalt - deceased), and her children Effie, Henny (Robert), Alie (Edward), Harry (Annetta), Wilma, Maryka (Dennis), John (Gwen), and David (Cindy), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also predeceased by her sister Hennie (Henk - deceased), and remembered by her family Edward (deceased), Randy (Lisa), Allan (Marilyn), and Dan, and the grandchildren. Also in the Netherlands, Wim was predeceased by her brother-in-law Willem and his wife Ali, and remembered by his family, Hennie (Hans), Alie (Geurt), Evaline (Eip), Betsy (Rickus) Willie (Martin), Henk, and their families. Auntie Wim was always busy with cleaning and handiwork, crocheting and knitting and later making greeting cards. She will be at peace now, reunited with Uncle Albert and the family.
On behalf of our Mom, Evertje van Someren (Aalt - deceased), sister-in-law to "Wim" , and her eight children, nieces and nephews to Tante Wim, and her sister-in-law Hennie Devries (Henk) - both recently deceased, and their 4 children (Ed, deceased), as well as brother-in-law Willem van Kommer (Ali) - both deceased, and their 3 children in Holland, and all the extended family - the whole family is saddened by the loss of one of our few remaining relatives of that era. Auntie Wim was a wonderful support and helpmate to Uncle Albert. Always busy and helping out, hard working and talkative, Auntie Wim was an important part of the Van Kommer extended family. May she rest in peace now as she joins the rest on the other side.
