Obituary of Melanie Renee Prosser

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melanie Renee Prosser at the age of 52 on May 19, 2021.  Beloved wife of Richard Rizun and mother of treasured daughter Kiera.  Daughter of caring father Earl Prosser (Rose, deceased) and sister of loving brother Dave (Trish).  Amazing daughter-in-law of Eugene Rizun (Emily) and brothers-in-law Kevin and Randy (Eva).  She is remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

Melanie was a devoted teacher of the Niagara District School Board, loved to travel, and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Special thanks to the Juravinski Oncology staff and the three nurses (Tracy, Barb and Melissa) who were visiting at home for their compassion and caring.  Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Melanie's name to any charity related to cancer research.
