Dear Wall family,
Sincere condolences as you mourn the loss of your father and grandfather. To say that Art directed the choir at the St. Catharines United Mennonite Church for many years seems like such an understatement. I remember Art as a fixture at the front of the church, directing a wide variety of choirs. In fact, I sang in his Junior Choir nearly 60 years ago now. He instilled a love of singing in so many of us, whether at church or at many regional competitions. The lessons learned from his gentle direction have served me well as I continue to sing in a church chorus to this day. May his memory and the fact that his works blessed so many people console you during this sad time.

I always am thankful for the words of anthems and scripture that come to me in song--and I have your father to thank for that. They have carried and ministered to me through the trials and joys of life. From junior and senior choirs, to our spring concerts , Christmas candlelight service, to singing the HMS Pinafore and involvement in " The Bridge" I am thankful for tradition of singing he brought to the church. My condolences to your families. Elvera Trimboli

My sincere sympathy for your great loss. As a member of the Junior Choir so long ago, followed by the Senior Choir, Art Wall was the primary influence in my life long love of singing in choirs. I imagine many will remember the HMS Pinafore performance. A wonderful man that so many will never forget.

Doug, Gerald and families - Joe and I send our deepest sympathies to all of you. I hold dear many family memories - time spent on the farm; when we all drove out west - the families of the 3 Wall brothers - to visit Namaka, the place of their birth. I am happy that Uncle Art and Aunt Kay are now reunited and I am sure that Dad and Uncle Art are making beautiful music together in heaven. Matthew also sends his condolences.

Our thoughts are with you as you say good-bye (for now) to your father and grandfather. To say he directed the choir for "many years" was an understatement! I remember him through junior choir and senior choir. He devoted so much to serving the church and God with his love of music. My mother and sister, Betty and Carol Penner, were good friends with Art, and would share in this loss with you. I hope he will have the chance to direct the angel choir! - Sandy Rempel

To Doug and Gerald and families. Linda and I wish to send our condolences. Uncle Art is at peace and singing in heaven (or leading the choir). My brothers and I grew up 2 doors down on Coronation Blvd. and have a lifetime of memories. Linda and I got to enjoy going out to dinner a couple of times with Uncle Art and Tante Kay and we cherish those memories as well. We'll be praying for your families during this difficult time.

To Gerald and Doug. My deepest sympathies on the recent passing of your dad. He was a SCUMC legend. His impact on the congregations's faithfulness through music was remarkable. I am certain that he will be greatly missed at church just as you already feel the huge loss. May you feel God's peace as you gather as a family to mourn your loss and celebrate Art's life.
