Where do I begin…I thought I was strong, I thought I could handle watching you and mom decline, since May 6th 2021 you both had multiple hospitalizations…I knew your drugs, I spoke to your doctors, I met with your doctors, I escalated my concerns, I brought you home to get better…you both died. I have had a multitude of emotions for the past few months…strength, auto pilot nurse with my patients (you were my parents, not my patients), a need to talk deeply and speak of every fun moment, the times you made me sad or angry, the times you made me laugh. Dad , you were our family foundation, our rock…the rock crumbled…and so did I. I pray I feel your presence guiding me and my amazing family as we navigate this wild journey called life. I will never forget how you treated me like a Princess…how you pissed me off with your need for control…you’re unconditional love. I’m sorry if I failed you in your final days, I pray you were happy to be home being massaged and spoken with far too often…I pray you hear my prayers and that you’re happy with mom and all your friends, family and Murd and Lo…there are no words to express the emptiness in my heart…I need my daily calls, as long and frustrating as they could be….we will be ok, we will never forget either you or mom and how blessed we were to be from such a loving family .
