I suppose I remember Mr Wichert the most from Eden (back in the 60's) as my English teacher - and in that regard how he would read Shakespeare out loud to us acting out every part. I don't think I ever understood Shakespeare until he helped interrupt some of those lines by acting them out in front of the class. I remember one time in his exuberance almost kicking a student in the front row. Mostly very stern with us as students, but every once in a while you'd see a tiny twinkle in his eye and just the twitch of a smile. Even though he also taught History and Math he was always the staff member involved in the Literary Committee and as such often directed many of the drama productions we did each year. What wonderful memories I had going through old Eden yearbooks. (These from 1961 and 1962)

To Linda, Nancy, Tim, Geoff and Suzanne and all your family: I was so privileged to have Uncle George as part of my extended family, and also as a teacher, principal and drama coach. So many good memories of spending time at the home on Line 1. Growing up, I always enjoyed when Uncle George would preach at Orchard Park- he had thoughtful and interesting sermons, and in later years he often prayed at the hospital bedside of my father, and his rich, full voice gave us so much comfort. I found this picture of George with all of his adult siblings, which was taken in 2001. Our love and prayers to all of you: Lori and Randy Pauls
