Obituary of Abner David Redekop

Abner David Redekop passed away peacefully in his 100th year at the Niagara Falls General Hospital on April 1, 2022. His guide to living : ‘Live one day at time without the boulder on your shoulder. This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.’

He was born October 13, 1922 in Grigoryevka, Kharkov, Ukraine. He is predeceased by his loving wife Helen ( nee Janzen ) of 66 years and his two sisters Helen and Kaye.

Abner is survived by his two daughters and their families. Patricia Lepp ( James M. ) and Jean Duff grandchildren: Melanie Klassen ( James R. ), Robin Bates ( Brendan Yacyshyn ), Allison Lepp great grandchildren: Abby and Ben Klassen, Isaac and Xavier Yacyshyn.

Visitation will take place at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St., Vineland) on Tuesday April 5, 2022 from 11:00 - 12:00 followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 12:00pm.
