Obituary of Albert Korten

KORTEN, G Albert
August 23, 1931 - March 15, 2023

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26

Albert was called home on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in Brantford ON at the age of 91. Albert was a faithful servant of Christ, a devoted husband, supportive father and avid farmer; also a quiet man with deep convictions. We are comforted knowing that Albert is now with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Albert was predeceased in 2015 by his loving wife Nell (nee Vroom). He leaves behind his much loved children Adrian & Beatrice Korten - Jonny, Micah, Larissa; John & Judy Korten - Nathan (Madeline), Joshua (Hannah), Erica, Cassandra, Kristin and two great granddaughters Avery and Saelah; Trudy & Gerald Bruulsema - Alyssa (Ben), Janine, Nicolas, Luc. Albert is also survived by his sisters-in-law Gre Korten Matthews, Nelly Korten and Grace Zonruiter. He is predeceased by his 8 siblings. 

A funeral service will be held at Immanuel United Reformed Church, 2900 Fourth Avenue, Jordan on Monday March 20th at 11am, visitation prior to the service at 10am and a luncheon to follow after the service. A short interment ceremony will immediately follow the funeral service at the Vineland Cemetery for those interested in joining.
