Marjorie Ann MacDonald

At Albright Manor on Friday March 24, 2023 Ann MacDonald (Petch), passed peacefully at the age of 78. C3 has been selected on the juke box, Rock n Roll starts playing and the late James MacDonald no longer awaits his beloved wife to join him as they wrap up their story together to dance again.  She will be greatly missed by her children Rebecca (Grant) Downes and Nicholas MacDonald and Granddaughter Rachel Downes.  Sister to Darlene (Bob) Donaldson, Bill (Linda) Petch, Bonnie(George)Spence, Donna (Wayne) Boyd and Melody Petch.  She will be missed but never forgotten by  Family and Friends.  Ann was the "life of the party", wonderful hostess, and told great stories that always made you laugh.  She loved to dance and sing and host parties for family and friends.  Ann worked for 37 years in accounts payable at Stelco but the job that was most important to her was Grandma, playmate and tea party attendee to her only Grandchild and most treasured gift Rachel.  Although retirement did not bring all the travel that Ann and Jim had hoped for, they had spent many years hosting family and friends at their vacation home in Myrtle Beach.  

Burial Service for family and close friends to be held Thursday March 30, 2023 at 12pm at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens  700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek,  followed by Celebration of Life from 1-3pm at Tallmans Fireside room 3275 King St., Vineland. 

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Staff of Albright Manor for their loving care of Ann in her final years.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society in Ann’s name are greatly appreciated.

   A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.   We love you Mom
