Obituary of Antje Magdalena Schenkel

ANTJE MAGDALENA SCHENKEL

Antje (“Angie”) Magadalene Schenkel passed away peacefully Sunday (May 7^th, 2023) at McNally Hospice in her 81^st year after a brave and courageous fight against brain cancer.

Born in Hamburg, Germany to Elfriede & Fritz Bock and immigrated with her parents and sister (Jutta Bock) to Canada 1954. Beloved and devoted wife to Erich Schenkel for 62 years predeceased 2020.  She will be greatly missed by daughters & family Caroline Schenkel-Breadman (Greg Breadman) and Elizabeth Beaumont (Scott Beaumont) and grandsons Derek Breadman and Jack Beaumont. As well as life long friend Rita Dudek.

Forever remembered for her kindness and respect for others. A true caregiver to her husband for several years of Parkinson’s and trail blazer for culture and culinary expertise to her family. Nothing will ever replace her genuine spirit for family, she was such a beautiful soul.
