Today I learned about the passing of Anson through a mutual friend. Although we were not close friends for very long there was a summer when he and I explored sound systems and recordings together at his home on Margueretta St. He is still in my estimation the most knowledgeable audiophile I've ever met. Our days at Bloor Collegiate formed the basis of our friendship and I recall Anson always being cheerful and kind hearted. My deepest condolences to his family for their loss and may his memory be eternal.
My friend, I hope to see you again on the other side...
Respectfully,
Jim Barron.

My condolences to Alison, Elaine, Alex, Zach, Milly, Ed, Josh and Mometa, Sarah and Benjamin my heart broke upon hearing this news after surviving brain surgery. Our Lord had other plans inspite of our wishes.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have had Anson along with Milly and the dearly missed late Lilly, as my childhood friends living just doors away. Elaine and Jacks's home became my second home the place I would go to when I was afraid or lonely, Anson, Lilly and Milly fed me, Elaine took us to restaurants and shopping as if I belonged, was one of hers. Anson was the music man, the percussionist in the orchestra at our highschool he quickly became the star the music man of many gendres, the family home became a hub for music Anson had a very large circle. Once he had his CA designation he took care of his many friends and neighbors tax returns, as well as put together the best stereo systems, my first earned money was handed over to Anson for an amazing system he carefully amassed, I was lucky to have had this happy, kind and caring person as my childhood friend. He is a piece of my life and will occupy space in my memories. We are all better people because of the good people in our lives, we are shaped by people like Anson.
On Sept 13, waiting to hear from Milly at 5:23 I looked up at the beautiful blue sky all of my fear and anxiety melted, I knew something profound was happening, I learned a few hours later that at 5:27 I believe Anson passed, I know, Anson will continue to watch his flock, he is a Fisher of men.

My first contact with Anson was in 1977 when we both worked at Coopers and Lybrand. He was extremely hardworking which was recognized by his peers and clients. Since l worked with him on several assignments we developed not only a working relationship but also a trusting friendship. There was no task that was beyond his reach. He would readily take his shirt off his back to help others. For all intents and purposes, he was like a brother to me. I was single at that time. I have vivid memories of visiting him at his parents home on Margueretta Street and being invited for sumptuous dinner of delicious prime rib. Even though we did not communicate very frequently lately, when we did speak it felt like good old times. I recall an incident of Anson trying to drive a manual transmission vehicle for the first time. He attempted to do so on Bloor Street in my convertible. To nobody’s surprise, the car stalled right in the middle of the intersection at Bloor and Yonge resulting in a traffic chaos. He was beyond himself. Fortunately, we got out of the situation unscathed. Anson had an infectious smile. His untimely passing has created a huge void in my life. He will be sorely missed. The only solace one gets is that he is in a much better place in the company of his father and sister Lilian.

A dear sweet man, brother in Christ and wise friend. Always appreciated his care and concern for Brad and taking time to photograph his Superfire “gigs” in the community. You’ll be sorely missed Anson. Until we meet again, the Cook family.

As Pastors it was an honour and pleasure to share in Anson's life as coworkers in the work of the Lord at Logos Christian Family Church in Mississauga for over 25 years.
After committing his life to the Lord he had a passion to bless others. As a Chartered Accountant he gave oversight to the Administration, iniated a free tax clinic for seniors, new immigrants and low income families. His skill and love of photography captured every memorable moment in church life.
When Anson faced surgery for a brain tumor we witnessed a miracle of healing when the Lord gave him another 27 years to see his family grow up. As he endured a painful recovery we saw him faithful in the testing of his faith surviving to once again share encouragement to others and giving of his time.
Our deepest sympathy to Alison who has stood steadfast by his side while faithfully serving in Children's Ministry and rearing their family.
To Alex and Zach he has left you a great legacy of love, loyalty and service to carry on.
To Elaine, Maly, Ed Joshua,, (Momita), Sarah and Ben, you have suffed a great loss but we pray you will find great comfort knowing Anson is resting in the Lord until you see him again.
We will dearly miss a wonderful friend we have known for almost 40 years. Until we meet again.
Pastor and Carolyn Boettcher
