Obituary of Anson Quon

With heavy hearts, but gratitude for a life well lived, we announce that Anson Quon passed away on September 15, 2023, to be with the Lord. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Alison, his children, Alex (Aric) and Zach, his mother, Elaine, his sister, Maly (Edward) and her children, Joshua (Momita), Sarah and Ben and other family and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Jack and sister, Lillian. Anson was born in 1957 in Val-d’Or, Quebec. In 1959, his family moved to Toronto where he spent his childhood. Anson attended the University of Toronto where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and was welcomed into the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1985.

Anson met Alison, and they married in Mississauga in 1989. They had two children, and the family eventually settled in Oakville. Anson adored his children and was extremely proud of the people they had become.

Anson was a person who had tremendous courage and devotion to family. No matter how he was feeling, he was always there to help his family when they needed it and always concerned for their wellbeing. Anson was a caring son, always ensuring his mother was taken care of. He was a wonderful friend to many and will be greatly missed for his thoughtfulness and generosity. Anson could always be seen found with his camera, capturing life’s special moments.

Anson’s Christian faith was central to his life and he often encouraged others with God's love. He was an active member at every church he attended and volunteered for many causes. At Logos Christian Family Church, he was official photographer and ran the pro bono tax clinic for many years.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We invite all who knew and loved Anson to join us to share memories and commemorate his life

.

As an expression of sympathy, friends and family may send donations to the Cancer Society or The Salvation Army – Halton Lighthouse Emergency Shelter.

Anson was greatly loved and will be forever remembered by his family and loved ones. We know your short stay with us is now a blessed memory. We are sure you have been awarded a place in heaven in recognition of your daily effort to be a lifelong faithful servant.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelations 21:4
