On behalf of the Bartels family, originally from Hespeler, I would like to send our sincere sympathy to Anna's relatives. As young kids my brother Robert, sister Audrey and I visited Anna & Tina often at their very neat home and property on Queen Street in Hespeler. There was always a welcome treat for us. My dad Jake had a farm in partnership with his dad Jacob Senior in Niagara and often took Mrs. Wall with us to Niagara to visit her son Abram, who lived in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Abram often visited us in Hespeler. Back then in the 40s & 50s our families were close.
In fact, later when Anna moved to her Kitchener apartment, my son Scott purchased the Wall home on Queen Street which he has since sold.
The last time that I chatted with Anna was at the Ottawa Street Mennonite Church in Kitchener before she moved to St. Catherines.
My Aunt Ann Dyck (Robertson) often kept us up to date on Anna's life as they were in touch until Aunt Ann went to heaven. I believe that they were distant cousins, and will now be together in Heaven. It is very nice to see Anna's photo and obit in the Kitchener Record newspaper today. Thank you.
