It was an honour to have known George. He was a kind man and poured into us not only as his students in Bible College but at different opportunities throughout the last 24 years. He was a mentor at heart always imparting wisdom the best he knew how. I’m sharing a photo of one of our fondest memories - the day he married us. We appreciate George and Marilyn so much. My Memory of Papa George. I called him papa because that was what he was to me and more. My dean, my mentor, my teacher and ministry partner. Papa George believed in me and my husband and in all we do. He was my dean in bible school, my regional director of small Groups in Hamilton, my advisor and counsellor when I was called to launch ACTS church, He was my teacher, mentor, encourager and leader as I walked out my assignment. He was my assistant at my daughter’s wedding last May. On my last visit he gave me instructions to teach and live by “NEW TESTAMENT SIGNS OF BEING A GENUINE CHRISTIAN” and charged me to Make disciples, preach the genuine gospel of Mark 16. He reminds me we are here to takeover, to die to self...pick up my cross and follow Christ. I was looking forward to working with you on your long term strategy call 51/40 believing for 51% of the Canadian population to be born-again by 2040. I am determined to do my part. I know without a doubt that now you have joined the cloud of witnesses cheering us on. You have run your race, now we will pick up where you left off. Until we meet again. We love you so much.
